WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Volunteer with Fast Tracks at the Philadelphia Marathon
Intersection of Avenue of the Republic and Belmont Ave.
Sunday, November 24th, 6:00 am - 12:00 pm
For many years now, Fast Tracks has provided the volunteer support at the Mile-9.8 water stop on the Philadelphia Marathon race course. Most of us have had the experience of running a race, but nothing beats giving back to the running community—the runners and the race organizers—and getting behind the scenes to help someone else achieve their running goals!
This year, we are looking for 70 volunteers to participate! (Yeah, that means we need you!) Friends and family are invited to sign up, too. We will be setting up tables along either side of the road, filling up cups with water/Gatorade, handing off these cups and energy gels to runners, and cleaning up our trash/recyclables. Oh, and cheering on every runner on the course!
If you’ve never done this before, I assure you it is fun. It is an early morning and it is work, but it’s great. And it’s important to the runners who need us. And if that doesn’t convince you, we have a FREE SWEATSHIRT for you, too!
